MDJI strives to provide a fair and transparent policy for authors regarding manuscript submission fees. Please review the following information carefully before submitting your manuscript.

General Policy

In general, MDJI does not offer refunds for manuscript submission fees. This is because the journal incurs expenses associated with processing all submissions, regardless of the final editorial decision. These expenses include editorial staff time, peer reviewer honoraria (if applicable), and journal management costs.

Exceptions

There may be limited exceptions to this policy in the following situations:

• Duplicate Payment: If you have accidentally submitted duplicate payments for your manuscript submission fee, MDJI will process a refund for the duplicate amount. Please contact the editorial office with evidence of the duplicate payment.
• Editorial Error: In the rare case of a demonstrable editorial error that significantly impedes the review process (e.g., manuscript is assigned to an entirely inappropriate reviewer), MDJI may consider a full or partial refund at the Editor-in-Chief's discretion.

Requesting a Refund

If you believe you fall under one of the exceptions listed above, please submit a written request for a refund to the MDJI editorial office. The request should clearly explain the reason for the refund request and include any relevant documentation (e.g., proof of duplicate payment). The Editor-in-Chief will review the request and make a final decision.
